About the Bink Ashes Pendant
My family knew my much loved Dad as 'Bink'.
When he died I wanted to make a piece of jewellery my step mum could wear that would remind her of Dad.
And so I made a small pendant containing a pinch of his ashes.
One side is highly polished and if you wish, we will inscribe your loved one's name (or text of your choice). It also has the hallmark. The other side is textured.
Dad loved engineering and one of his favourite engineers was Brunel. Somehow he got hold of a section of the famous engineer's wide guage railway and I use this to add the texture.
Using the section is also a nice connection to Dad and also to Bristol where I live and make the pendants.
A personal experience
Whether it's to remember a member of your family or a beloved pet, the Bink pendant is a very personal item. With this always in mind I like to meet my clients before I am commissioned.
In person or online - it's up to you.
During the consultation we can discuss the text, what metal you'd like and also decide on the type and length of chain.
I will also talk you through the process from start to finish - including the collection of ashes and how I handle them with care and respect.
We will also decide on the metal, any wording and the choice of chain - which can be curb, spiga or trace (if you have your own chain I can make the bale to fit).
